Exactly correct. Take Firefox for an example. It is under the trilicense of MPL/LGPL/GPL, but Debian had to change all references to Firefox to "Iceweasel", because Mozilla claims that if *any* patches are applied to the product, it may no longer be called Firefox unless all of the patches are approved by Mozilla. For that reason, it is often good to clarify trademark policy.
