You run sysmerge AFTER you upgrade, not before. 5.5's sysmerge (which is what you are running) knows how to bring things up to 5.5, not 5.6, which is what you are trying to do. If you want to see what you are in for for the upgrade, look at the upgrade notes, or try on a non-production machine. Nick.
