Can you please give an example of a maintenance task
that is easier then the comparable/analogous task in OpenBSD?

apt-get update; apt-get dist-upgrade between versions are pretty awesome.
No doubt. In what way exactly is it easier
than an OpenBSD upgrade followed by pkg_add -u?
It rocks.
If you spent _hours_ updating an OpenBSD install,
then you were doing something very, very wrong.
An update of three of my machines last night took
about 8 minutes each, including sysmerge and packages.
Yes, sysmerge is really neat.
