Hello All,
I see from http://www.openbsd.org/i386.html#hardware that the DWL-AG520 D-Link
802.11a/b/g card is supported by OpenBSD, but I'm having quite a bit of
difficulty finding one that's not in the UK. It seems that the DWL-AG530 is a
very similar card (perhaps the North American version?), but it's not listed as
supported, and I'm loth to buy a wireless card unless it's explicitly supported.
Has anyone had experience with this card, and/or does anyone know for certain
whether or not it's supported? Alternately, does anyone know where I can buy a
DWL-AG520 here in the States?
Thanks,
Alex Kirk
Hi Alex,
Are you after a 802.11g card or 108Mbps card?
If you are after an 802.11g card then the Edimax EW-7128G can be found
in the UK at:
http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=openbsd-misc&m=113101477530208&w=2
I managed to buy two from:
http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=3119
which were marginally cheaper and they are both working well with
OpenBSD 3.8, using ral.
