That's exactly what '-version-number' does. While '-version-info' plays fucked-up games with arithmetic on the numbers you give it, the "deprecated" '-version-number' just puts the arguments straight into the filename/soname as $DEITY intended. It looks like your -version-info in OpenBSD libtool is actually doing what GNU libtool's -version-number option does? -- dwmw2 [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type application/x-pkcs7-signature which had a name of smime.p7s]
