Ah, you mean 'write' as opposed to 'create'? What I showed above is that 'cvs -d MIRROR up' _creates_ the CVS/Root in the directories where they did not exist. But you are right, running 'cvs -d OTHERMIRROR up' does _not_ rewrite those CVS/Root files that already exist. Jan
