Before posting I tried "# ifconfig rt20 nwkey 0xXXXXXXXX" example from rtw(4). Although it executes without error, the rtw0 status remains "no network". The example doesn't specify the SSID or channel #, so I wondered if that was my problem. I'll admit my first scan through FAQ/Networking and ifconfig(8) scared me a bit, and I was hoping someone would point out the obvious. I'll head back to the documents and re-read them in detail. To clarify the process though, will the network be up once the ifconfig command is correct, or will there be more configuration still before I can google via lynx? Dale
