I've had problems with the Soekris card and large numbers of clients (200-300 active):
The lan1641 (and lan1621) by Soekris both use the sis chips. I've experienced a number of problems with the sis cards (or sis driver) under heavy throughput. In particular, heavy pfsync + CARP usage does not seem to play well with them.
