overgeneralizations are as usual bad.
the sis driver supports quite some different chips. _some_ have issues. 
_some_. not all.

the soekris 4port card wim sent me for testing did not show any bad 
behaviour, and I did stress it. While I did not necessarily ran into 
all bugs it might have (or might not have!), it did perform pretty well.
