I installed ubuntu-desktop-mir on 14.10 to test out mir. I use the radeon drivers. First impression is that it's smoother. Switching workspacess is smooth, even with the workload that usually caused gitter before. Only issue I found was that Xorg always has around 100% CPU use. This causes my laptop to become hot (until 80°C), throttles a lot and draw allot of power. Is this a known issue? Can I test something. As I'd like to keep using mir as it's working better.
