I understand that:
> The proof is by induction: x^1 = x so the derivative is 1 = 1 * x^(1-1), > and x^(n+1) = x^n * x so the derivative is (x^n)' * x + x^n * x' = (n * > x^(n-1)) * x + x^n = (n+1) * x^n. > but how you prove that: (x^n)'= (n * x^(n-1)), is something recursive? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Metamath" group.
