I finally got access to an NVidia card last night so I've added an image from their online compressor to the bottom of that page. http://busydoingnothing.co.uk/doge/ Apparently NVidia's driver is powered by some sort of magic because it looks indistinguishable to my eye compared to the original image and it took no noticeable time to compress. I zoomed in on it with the Gimp to verify that it is actually different, and it is a little bit. Changing the compressor hint makes no difference and the resulting image is byte-for-byte identical.
