Hi Sean,

There are a couple of projects left to do on the Newbie page that will
help you get started contributing to mesa and piglit [1]
NV_non_square_matrices is done but the other two haven't been worked on
yet as far as I can tell.
The tests for ARB_clear_buffer_object are done, as well.

Please also note that implementing Piglit tests for KHR_debug, EXT_frag_depth, NV_texture_array or NV_explicit_attrib_location would require an update to piglit's dispatch code about which there's currently some discussion on the piglit mailing list going on. So going with EXT_shadow_samplers or EXT_shader_texture_lod would be kind of a safe bet right now, if you'd like to go with a project from that page.

They are not to glamorous but should give you
a way to get started exploring the mesa code and the piglit framework.

Or if you want to just in the deep end you could take a look at the
specs for some on the unstarted extensions [2] and have a go at
implementing one.

Finally there is a good thread [3] that answers a lot of beginner
questions about getting started.

Tim

I've been following mesa development for a while and am hoping to find
a good project in either the r600 or radeonsi drivers that would give
me a place to start learning about the general structure of mesa dev.
I have a solid understanding of C and a reasonable familiarity with
OpenGL. Suggestions as to a good place to start working would be much
appreciated.
