Sorry to post this here, but no one answered me on the mesa-users

A recent update of mesa-dri-drivers on Redhat 6 (upgraded 7 to 9),
removed the nouveau_dri.so file, which libGl uses. Does anyone know why
Redhat might have done this? I've looked through redhat's bugzilla, but
no one there seems to have reported this. We don't have a service
contract with redhat, so my experience is that they are unlikely to
respond to my query.
Programs that try to find nouveau_dri.so, display an error, and then
they use swrast_dri.so instead.
Should I create a symbolic link (or alternative), to remove this error
message, or should I simply downgrade to the previous version of
mesa-dri-drivers?
For a Fedora specific issue, you should probably submit a bug to their
tracker. That will surely get someone's attention. People here (and on
dri-users) don't generally have any insight into what the distros do.
Thanks. - Mark
