Where I really have a problem is whether it is a 250, a 251, or a 252.
We are purchasing Craneware, which we had last year on a trial basis, but it
too is confusing and sometimes lists more than 2 revenue codes for the same
drug.

By the way, I still want to talk to you about consulting. When is a
good time to reach you? I've tried a couple of times and just get your voice
mail.

Thanks,

Charlie

Hey Charlie-

If you look at the CMS website, you're looking for the drug "CAT", or
category. In the APC listing there is a "status" and there are notes on
what's a 636. I'm not sure your comment is true on ".all drugs with a HCPCS
should be a 636." - looking forward to some other input on this.

Be well - Kevin.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Revenue codes

Does anyone know of a free web site, preferably a CMS web site, where I
could look up a drug to see what the correct revenue code should be?
Accounting is constantly asking me if a revenue code is correct, and I have
no idea. Short of this, is there somewhere out there that explains what each
revenue code should be (actually I would like to understand this too)? From
what I understand, all drugs with a HCPCS code should have a revenue code of
636 associated with them, correct?

Thanks,

Charlie
