I totally agree, but we have a couple of CDS screens that we are trying
to populate ahead of time...

For example, One is if we have a Advanced Directive on file here.. And
as our Medical Records staff goes to enter this, we want the ability for
them to file it now instead of needing to wait for the next unknown
visit...

We have a couple of others similar but not as important that we would
like to include in this same manner... And from what I am gathering
right now, we need to have this on a CDS screen that would appear when
the patient was admitted to record this, or add it to the demo recall
piece... And if they haven't been here in a while, but we want to
record it then we would need to do a ficticious PRE Registration to
record this which would use up valuable encounter numbers...

It seems like there should be an easier way to record this information
into Demo Recall Queries...

Additional Thoughts?

account?

Demo recall works by storing information in an additional place. So, if
it has been turned on after a patient is no longer being documented on,
there will be nothing to "recall". In my opinion it is a mistake to
attempt to "populate" this query on everyone. You can place an
attribute that would say if there is an answer put it in, otherwise
answer it with this answer.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Update new Demo Recall Question without a new
account?

Hi Folks,

We are a Magic 5.61 site and have a fairly new Query in which is set to
"Y" for demo recall.

We would like to populate this Query with contents even if the patient
hasn't been here in a while (such as those much older accounts in MRI,
and not available in ADM)...

Does anyone know of a way to populate these Demo Recall questions
without creating fictitious site accounts?

Any thoughts, feedback, tips & tricks, or resolutions would be greatly
appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Damian A Shepard
