However it is so integrated that we love it and use it all the time. We open a task for the day for the "phone log." It is assigned to all members of the department. We try to log our calls so that each of us can review it at any time and be aware of the calls that have been coming in. It's a great communication tool. We even search back for old logs when we think there is a pattern or something that we should investigate. In addition to this, we have trained the users to primarily open tasks instead of calling us on the phone. It took quite a bit of training and also some days of sending the phone right to voicemail so that it wouldn't even ring on our end. (We checked the VM after every call to make sure that it wasn't important, but pretty soon the tasks were coming in.) We also use Task+ to log, record, and file our work orders. There is a piece that integrates to OE, so the work orders are converted into a task. They still print automatically, but now they can be assigned to an individual. We have also assigned a CDS to these task types so the assignee can log their work as well as change the status of the work order (Completed, Hold, etc.) We are very pleased with this product. We are also looking to see if anyone has figured out a way to take the OE work order req and place it in a "data base" of sorts, in order to track progress of that work order. Thanks for any advise in advance! Marie Merten, System Analyst Assist. Douglas County Hospital 111-17th Ave E.
