Our intranet not only has fun things for the employees;  Employee 
of the month, a photo gallery from retirements/golf tournaments/auctions/, 
a bulletin board     for things for sale/cafeteria menu,  but also has 
educational items; FAQs for Infection control, safety team minutes, 
Pharmacy formulary/Micromedix/Provider privileges with 
photos/forms/Procedures/ and on and on and on.

         From a usage standpoint, I know that everyone looks up 
procedures, cafeteria menu, physician privileges, frequently.  It is also 
the main page when the pc boots up and IT posts network downtimes on the 
front page.  We used it as a tool for the JCAHO inspection.

      I have heard people say that they look at it all the time, to user's 
say they don't use it at all.

We are creating an intranet for our hospital and I want to know 
specifically what features your intranet offers employees.  I need more 
than just the departments they list, etc.  I would also like to know what 
specific features your employees like about the intranet.
