Hi, I'm wondering if other facilities are having the same problem we're experiencing with MM. We have numerous vendors with catalog numbers longer than the allowed 15 characters. Meditech is telling us that we need to work something out with the vendor to accept truncated numbers. Since we are transmitting more and more EDI orders, that is not a viable solution in my opinion. How have you dealt with this problem? Have you asked Meditech for a custom? They told me that the vendor number shows up in 23 other places in the system, making a custom difficult. Have you considered using a CDS to accommodate the longer numbers? Any feedback would be appreciated.
