Meditech has a Knowledge base article, 27503, on how to set up certain printers. The problem is not Meditech's programs. The "problem" is that NUBC desined the form and it now prints 82 characters across, whereas the UB92 only printed 80. At 82 across, there are not a lot of printers that can easily be reconfigured for a printable area this wide. The far right character does print with your settings!!!!! I also agree with the 1 character shift to the left on those fields that you listed. I would ADD Fields 11,12,13,14,15,16,17to those fields needing a 1 character shift to the left, BUT I think if there was a 1 character shift to the left at the beginning of the line with FIELD 10 would take care of all the fields on this line. I had tested and tested last week on the HP4200 and couldn't find the right combinations of settings to get it to work and still print the far right character. Great Job! Do you know anything about the DEFAULT MACRO NUM on the Enter/Edit MIS Electronic Forms? What is the difference between 0000 and 99999 for this field? Now how do we get Meditech to make this change for everyone???? Now, with less confidence, I'm sending out email again, this time asking for confirmation of settings for the HP4200 series printers. I believe we have successfully printed the UB04 on a HP4200 and a HP4200dtn. The settings are... X1 Shift = -7 X2 Shift = -7 Y Shift = -2 The ELF settings in Meditech are... Report BAR.PAT.frm.ub04 Orientation PORTRAIT Paper Size 66 CPI 10.12 Left Margin 0.20 LPI 5.98 Top Margin 0.20 Text Len 64 Macro control program STANDARD Default Macro Num 99999 We are a MAGIC site on version 5.5. We have noticed that fields 66, 69, 74 and 81CC will require a 1 character shift to the left, but this is something that Meditech would need to do as a custom. Our main goal was to get the information down the right margin to print correctly and not drop characters. Can someone out there please confirm that these settings work at your site also?
