Hi everyone, It's time for another "NPR pledge break." I hope National Public Radio is not offended by my use of the term. It beats calling it a Begathon.
The meditech-l is a volunteer effort. By volunteer, I mean Lorna and Gil. We manage the list, keep the server running, evaluate messages to remove waste, and beg for your support to keep the server going. Here's how you can support the list (I'm begging...): 1) Answer questions - help anyone with information that you have, no matter what level you are, you know something that someone else does not know 2) Do NOT send wasteful message such as "Please post to the list" By the time, such a message is viewed, the original message has been reviewed and answered. "Please post to list" messages just waste resources and slow down the list 3) Post information to the wiki (http://MTUsers.net/mwiki). If an answer on the list has long term usage, store it permanently on the wiki). If you need help with the wiki, contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] 4) Donate to the meditech-l. If you have not donated in the last 6 months, please visit http://MTUsers.com, and use PayPal to make a donation to help us pay for the server. PayPal is secure and a lot safer than handing your credit card to any store clerk, but if you do not want to use PayPal, contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] You can mail a check. Lorna and I work cheap (as in paid zero), but the server costs money. Even if you donate $5.00, that is help. If you are a vendor, please note it in the transaction. I'm compiling a list of vendors who have previously donated. It will be posted on http://MTUsers.net/mwikiI'll be updat. I will be updating it as new payments arrive. I think the users' community should know who is investing in their support. Please note that to divide resources between servers, there are two different domain names that support the meditech-l. The actual email list is located at MTUsers.com. Support for the meditech-l is located at MTUsers.net (email [EMAIL PROTECTED] for support and help, access the wiki at http://MTUsers.net/mwiki, and check the status of the list at http://MTUsers.net. If you are having problems getting email at your office or juest need a permanent email address, contact me. You can have a personal email address at MTUsers.net for $15 per year with great SPAM control that filters out trash but permits receiving the meditech-l.
