Kevin, I would be interested as well. I've looked at this from a LAB perspective in the past and have run into the issue being an OE order is never filed, so it technically is not cancelled and no status is attached to the unfiled order. If the order files, then is cancelled, we all know how to latch onto it with a rule, but an auto-reject is a different bird, even though (LAB example here) it appears on the interface log as an autocancel. We tried to get a printout via a print rule. I believe order rules are only applied when the order is verified (which it technically isn't with an autocancel). Please let me know if my belief is incorrect - wouldn't be the first time I was led astray while learning Meditech these last 8 years 8>) I'm assuming from your post the cancel.rank=5 actually refers to autocancel? I am trying to "notify" the Pharmacy when a POM Order fails a POM Rule and gets auto-rejected in OE. I have identified the cancel.rank=5, but cannot figure out where to attach a rule - Order Rule vs. Print Rule... Any help is appreciated. Kevin. Kevin McConnell, PharmD.
