For those of you who have wireless carts at your hospital, how often do your
users lose connectivity on the carts?
When our wireless network was new we had serious problems with session
dropouts. We discovered two problems.
1) The installer had installed many of the antennas for the WAPs in the
wrong orientation. Thus, our signals were nothing like what had been
designed.
2) We had to update all wireless client drivers and firmware on the
network infrastructure.
This was with Cisco equipment. Since we updated all of that software
dropped sessions have been very rare.
If I can be of any further assistance, please let me know.
