Programmer/Analyst - EMR (HCIS) Austin Medical Center-Mayo Health System Austin Minnesota Job Code: - Department: Network Services - Full-time - 1.0 - 80 hrs/pp - Days-Salaried Job Summary: Obtain and organize information via the EMR (HCIS) and use of a variety of data mining and report writing tools including Meditech NPR, Crystal Reports and IPeople tools. Automate existing manual methods and introduce new functionality to the Austin Medical Center. Accountable for implementation and ongoing support of Meditech clinical and financial modules which includes the coordination, planning, analysis and training for technology implementations and system updates. Education/Experience Required: Bachelor's of Science degree in programming or a related field or equivalent experience, preferably in a Medical Center Information Systems department. Experience should include programming and flat (and tree) database design, staff training and project coordination functions, familiarity with the Meditech/LSS Information System, Meditech NPR report writing, Microsoft Office products, and other PC workstation and third party packages is desirable. Qualifications Required: Experience in many/all of the following: Meditech NPR, Crystal Reports, ODBC, ADO.NET, scripting software, data repositories, proficient programming skills and project management. Additional experience with products such as MS Office would be helpful. This position demands excellent skills in the area of task organization, project tracking, written and verbal communications, and ability to work effectively as a team member while at the same time work independently and show personal initiative in assigned tasks.
