If you are using a paid person (not a Triage RN) in the ED to greet and gatekeep patients as they arrive, I would like to have some brief information on their primary duties. Especially, what ties they have into the Meditech system? Do they do a short reg on these patients? Do they have access to the ED tracker? If you are willing to share a job description as well, that would be much appreciated.
