Dave,
First.. 192.128.x.x is NOT a valid private address. Change
it to 192.168.x.x. Though this won't be an issue behind
a MASQed box.. it still isn't a good idea.

The kernel is allowing a single Ethernet MAC address to be associated
with mutiple IP addresses. Read the docs directory under the kernel
code for more info.

This actually depends on the cablemodem. The Motorola CyberSufr can do
multiple IPs. Its really up to your ISP at that point. You can get additional
IPs from TCI.NET for $5/ea per month.
