I have never tried dhcpd-client-2.0b1pl0-1.i386.rpm so I don't know. Is
this the ISC client? If so, you can probably find some docs at
<URL:http://www.isc.org/>

Yes, I think so. The dhcpcd-1.3.x will do what you want (execute a 
script whenever the address changes), but you need a 2.2.x kernel to
run it. And I don't recommend upgrading on your own unless you really 
know what you are doing. But dhcpcd-1.3.x will probably be part of 
the standard distributions as soon as the 2.2.0 kernel is released.
