IE5 appears to be lame in that regard; at home (ISDN dialup) I sometimes
have to close it completely so it forgets that it didn't find a connection.
I've found that using a (remote squid) cache helps.

Hello. I am IPmasquerading with Red Hat Linux 6.1 (maybe I should update to
6.2 soon) on a network that runs smoothly, and everything is working except
on my PC running windows 98 with Internet Explorer 5. Everytime I open it,
it says "unable to find a connection," but as soon as I click "try again,"
everything works? How can I fix this?
