The last few times I've compiled a kernel for IPMASQ operation there
have been two options which are mentioned in the HOWTO but were not
found in the actual kernel options. I'm using RH6.1 these days but I
seem to recall that there were some missing options in 6.0 as well.
I've tried make config, make menuconfig and make xconfig and the
options I can't find in kernel 2.2.12 are:
IP: always defragment (CONFIG_IP_ALWAYS_DEFRAG)
IP: Drop source routed frames (CONFIG_IP_NOSR)
The HOWTO recommends that both of these be set to Yes. If these have
been dropped from recent kernels, maybe a note to that effect should
be added to the HOWTO.
Assuming they've been dropped from recent kernels, what is the
default kernel behavior for these functions now?
