You don't specify which version of the Mac OS you are running, but since you
are running on a PowerMac 7100, I'm going to assume that you're using Open
Transport. You should probably be running at least Mac OS 8.1, as earlier
versions of Open Transport aren't as well integrated into the OS.
1) The Mac can use any DNS entered into its TCP/IP control panel. You would
set up the name server address(es) of your ISP's DNS servers.
2) The Mac's IP address and Subnet mask would be set up as you would for any
other machine.
3) The router address should be the *private* IP address of your Linux box.
Some other OSes (I won't mention any names, Microsoft) allow you to specify
a router address that is not on your subnet. The Mac OS enforces that the
router address *MUST* be on your subnet.
