I have masquerading working. But by net card is problematic. And
I want to upgrade the kernel to 2.2. So, I am trying to put a new eth1
in.
Can someone explain to me how the linux startup works. How it
looks for net cards, in what order? What effect do things in
/etc/conf.modules and lilo.conf ("append=") have on this? What effect
does the way you compile the kernel have, whether you type 'y' or 'm'
for a network card in the configuration?
I need some help so I can get the cards to load properly. Thanks
