The five hypotheses are subjective , about what Musk-Trump want. (I don't understand hypothesis ii 😉.) An objective hypothesis is that U.S. capital has lost the economic strength required to sustain its hegemonic hold over virtually the entire Western world. It is compelled to stop paying the costs of hegemony: huge trade deficits, the expense of making the major contributions to various global agencies, etc.
