Sounds good, the article is right on target: without massive and rapid reconstruction, Palestinians cannot live long amongst such apocalyptic devastation, and given the offer, many will leave due to being human; but the article was short on detail. Who will do this reconstruction? Who will pay for it? BRICS? The Saudis? Why? Just so that Israel can at any time go blow it all up again?

The Gaza truce was just a spectacle for the inauguration granted to Trump by Netanyahu, knowing full well he could break it any time, and that in any case Phase 3, "reconstruction," was when the US and Israel can hold a sword over Gaza's head, and that Trump had a huge bag of treats ready for Israel as reward, which most of us just assumed was the West Bank, I'm not sure even Netanyahu knew what was coming with Trump's proposal to expel the Gaza population under a US mandate. I suppose you could call full ethnic cleansing to create a Riviera a "long-term ceasefire deal".
