There are at least three protests in my home town this week, all with an
anti-Trump focus. And I wonder why. Who will be the beneficiary of protesting
Donald Trump's election rather than his actions? So far his actions consist of
cementing an apparent ceasefire agreement in Gaza. The Democrats are making a
lot of noise about Trump's nominations to run US agencies that report to the
executive branch. I don't recall anyone protesting Biden's nomination for
Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, who he served us as Netanyahu's trained
monkey during the genocide.
If 2017 is any guide, the generic "Anti Trump" movement will be coopted by the
US Democratic Party: There are no concrete demands besides defeat Trump and no
focus on the mass of people in the US, half of whom who voted voted for Trump.
Bah, humbug!
