Why is any of this....Angela Davis or some exec of the NLG "coming out" for Harris....a surprise or anything other than "the usual"? When has Angela Davis NOT been supporting Democrats?
I think there are two streams running on marxmail urging "vote Harris:" one is the JR stream, where voting Biden or Harris is a one-off, or given 2020, a two-off--a tactical maneuver to buy time and delay the neo-fascist tide; the other is "strategic"-expressed most clearly by MG with his "socialism is dead" evaluation of the current situation. So while J R can say "despite voting for Harris our work organizing the class struggle against the bourgeoisie goes on before/during after the election." He's wrong, but he can say it. Those with the "strategic" take or the programmatic one that says working within the Democratic Party is the only viable path need to explain where the path leads and what issues propel whoever the agent of action is supposed to be. And who is the agent? Like--what about the electoral college? what about the Senate? which are two methods of voter suppression baked right into the truths the Democrats hold to be self-evident.
