PRC president and chair of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping announced today that China expects within a decade to station PLA units on an island ally, the Santa Catalina People’s Republic, across from Los Angeles in response to the current presence of US special forces on Kinmen Island, six miles off the Chinese coast.
