I have to argue with Charles. Although I am a new subscriber on this list (a great team so far :) ), I have a different point of view. LO has to compete with MSO on a feature by feature basis, since people who are using MSO now could turn their eyes on LO. And what will they ask? "Can it do it?" And if there is something that you can't do, they won't make the change. And that will be a nail to Free Software's coffin.
On the other hand I completely accept Charles's point of view about "featureset + support + availability + community + FOSS + contributing ability". THAT is the advantage that matters. But that is the thing that doesn't (yet) fully works. I can't easily find any promotional stuff, and that hurts pretty much. And no educational material. Try it. Google for "learn microsoft office" and next google for "learn libreoffice". See the diference? And no, we won't see MSO on Linux. :) K 2013/2/12 Charles-H.
