I am sure projects like iRedMail or Mail-in-a-Box can be useful for some. However, based on the venture we are discussing this in (i.e. the mailop maling list), I would hope that we can assume a degree of technical expertise and the motivation to expand existing knowledge. If things go wrong, I expect "naïve users" are going to have a bad time anyway, unless they bring in outside help. I have nothing against folks experimenting, with or without prepackaged software stacks, but I don't recommend experiments when email is business critical. If a mail server turnkey solution creates a false sense of operating a mail service stack, I don't consider it a good idea. -Ralph _______________________________________________ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop
