However my opinion is that this is the wrong thing to do. Like so many things, email is governed by checks and balances (of sorts). If enough people complain about not being able to receive something, then hopefully the provider will get the idea that something is wrong on the receiving side.

We can't cross the "enough" people complaining if nobody complains.

This is also what I broadly call "gentle push back" or "back pressure".

There seems to be a germane phrase; ...if you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything...

IMHO it's (past) time to stand up and request (demand) that people do better.
