Heho, going through results of my measurement setup, i noticed that from three organizations that so far delivered TLS-RPT, exaclty none have the tlsrpt DKIM service type used as SHOULD'ed in RFC8460.
Looking at the errata, Errata ID: 5889 notes that this tag was never registered (and indeed wasn't until now), and should be registered either using an additional document only doing the reg either through DISPATCH or an AD sponsored doc; That was ~3y ago. Does anyone know if this just slipped off the table somewhere, or if there was consensus to just skip on the servicetype given it is just 'SHOULD be present' 'MAY ignore' in the RFC (given the observable number of users of TLS-RPT so far, calling it "consensus" might be a stretch, though ;-))? Wondering, because dkimpy at least by default verifies the tag, and i currenlty have this as a 'could improve' rating. With best regards, Tobias -- Dr.-Ing.
