I did have the same problem with them adding me to a ton of lists I didn’t want to be on (I’ve not lived in the US in 4 years, GTFO). Disabling notifications followed by deleting my account worked to stop the mail. If it’s not working for you, I might contact the privacy folks and tell them their mail system is broken if I was feeling generous. But the blocking the email at the source may be your only solution.
