Yes it is possible. It just doesn't have any effect. Sadly, blocking them affects too many legitimate senders, otherwise I'd have done it long ago. The current spam wave from Hotmail/Outlook addresses (clearly bot-generated accounts) will probably force me to spend (waste?) more of my personal time to write a milter or other detection mechanism that can reliably keep this stuff out of my user's mailboxes. Outright blocking Hotmail/Outlook (with a whitelisting option) looks more attractive every day.
