HI Erwin, My only question mark is that this type of bounce is received just for couple of email addresses from the same recipient domain. The rejection when sending to the same domain email address is under 0.5%

If that is the typical message content for the sender on your end, then yes they should probably treat it as a hard bounce. It is difficult to say more without some context, or in a public forum. --Erwin On Fri, Sep 20, 2019 at 3:00 AM Andy Onofrei via mailop <mailop@mailop.org<mailto:mailop@mailop.org>> wrote: HI all, Does anyone have a contact at Barracuda email security team ? Or if anyone has some insights on the potential reasons for the following bounce 550 permanent failure for one or more recipients (<removed>@domain.com:blocked) Some insights .. before this bounce the sender was able to send successfully other 4 emails to the same recipient in the last week. I was under the assumption that in this case the recipient has blocked all emails from the sender and I should treat it as a hard bounce. Anyone has any insights?
