Hi all,

on another topic I was talking about a MIPSPACE-POOR listing a /16
including my /25 on OVH and everyone here told that OVH is "the worst
of the worst" one can choose as hosting. Now I don't know if this is
true or not but I'd like to discuss how you suggest to do the
"vetting" before I choose an hosting provider that I will use to send
and receive emails.

Till now I always had a look at:

- UCE-Protect level-2/level-3 for the hosting provider and the
netblock containing the IP/s they will assign to me
- SpamCop stats for the /16 that will contain the IP/s they will assign to me.
- SenderBase and SenderScore for the /24 containing the IP/s that they
will assign to me and some /24 before and after this one.

Now, using the above public resources I failed to identify OVH as bad,
but now you all blame OVH, so I'd like to receive suggestions on
public resources I could use to identify how "reputable" an hosting
provider is before I choose it.

I'm not looking for suggestions for a specific provider or blames on
another one, but for tools to do the reputation check on my own so to
find on my own why XYZ is a good or bad choice.
