Benny and I said: >>> Simple solution (OAuth-based): Google Workspace (aka G Suite aka Google >>> Apps) users should be able to have the admin of the account explicitly >>> allow MailMate. This should mean that OAuth still works for the account.
>> This solution should be enough for me, as I run my own Google workspace so >> am the administrator. > Great. Could you let me know (off list) if you can see where to do this and > you are able to add MailMate. I guess that doesn't guarantee it'll still work > when/if MailMate is no longer in the verified state, but that's what they > told me when I asked :) I ignored Benny’s request until today when SMTP send for my Gmail Workspace (uses my own domain) ceased to work. Per https://support.google.com/a/answer/14114704?hl=en# > Users of the mail app on iOS or MacOS or Outlook for Mac—If you use only a > password to sign in: > Remove and re-add your Google Account. > Click Sign in with Google to automatically use OAuth. What I did: In Mailmate Go to IMAP Account Setting and add OAuth2 for SMTP by clicking on the checkbox. You'll get a popup from Google asking you to sign in and approve. Note that I do have the “Allow users to manage their access to less secure apps” setting turned on in my Google Workspace Admin settings. It seems to be working now for me.
