I'm a bit unsure if you are describing 2 issues here. Are you replying to an 
email for which MaiMate does not create any body text? In that case, if you 
can, send me an example using “Help > Send Feedback” and I'll see I can 
reproduce it.

Make sure you try the latest test release first: Hold down ⌥ when clicking 
“Check Now” in the Software Update settings pane to get the latest test release.

Why this can happen was explained by Bill in another reply to this message, but 
if you want me to look into why it happens then you can send me an example. 
It's very likely that the “heuristic” MailMate uses when trying to edit a draft 
from another email client is a bit naive (and easy to improve). It's not the 
common case.
