IMAP does not support general metadata for emails (or most servers don't). The only type of metadata is IMAP keywords which MailMate, naturally, uses for its tags. (The exception is MS Exchange for which tags are therefore local-only.)

In other words, the action to tag a message will continue to be the only way to color/style messages. Note that colors can be assigned to the submailboxes within the Tagged mailbox.

- An option to color the mailbox name in the tree as well: `Apply Color to Mailbox Name`

Agreed, the submailboxes above do not have icons and it's therefore not easy to see the color assigned (without opening the menu).

The other problem is if a tag is removed from all emails then its color is lost. This is a minor bug.
