I presume that mailmate’s threading support comes via various headers like “in-reply-to”; it’s been a while since I’ve looked at the RFCs all but I remember that this sort of explicit stuff can help with threading.
I’d really like to view messages that share a subject line, but don’t necessarily have those headers, as threads. Use case: Jira e-mail updates. I get mail from Jira when tickets are updated, but it doesn’t show threaded in mailmate. I know I can sort by subject, which helps but doesn’t really solve the problem. I’m not seeing an option to do this, and there weren’t any threads in the mailing list this year or last that looked promising on the subject. Any thoughts?
