I haven't seen any e-mails from customers or colleagues suggesting that they have problems with format=flowed. In fact, it sounds to me more like something is ignoring format=flowed and adding linebreaks, which format=flowed should avoid.
I think this is exactly correct. Outlook isn’t implementing format=flowed in displaying emails that I send to my colleagues, and so the result is that Outlook is adding hard line breaks and thereby mangling my emails. And the problem seems to compound after a series of replies.
One solution would be to allow Mailmate users to disable format=flowed (i.e., to not include it in the content-type header). That would prevent Mailmate generated emails from getting mangled by mail clients that don’t implement format=flowed.
Here’s another solution I’ve seen proposed: https://vxlabs.com/2019/08/25/format-flowed-with-long-lines/ Thanks, Alex _______________________________________________ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
