I haven't been seeing problems in iOS and haven't been using anything else to compare on OS X.

I updated to the 64 bit beta you linked to and cleared the relevant passwords from Keychain Access. I noticed that there were two listed there (two for incoming and two for SMTP) which might have been the issue. Hopefully, this will fix me.

Thanks!

Bart

This may be totally unrelated to MailMate, but in case it's not, I'm trying you guys.

If you haven't seen it with other email clients (iOS?) then it's likely to be somewhat related to MailMate.

For the last week or 10 days, I regularly get error messages saying that there's something wrong with my password, either for checking mail or for the SMTP server for sending it. In all cases, I reenter the password, click "save to keychain," hit enter, and *usually* the problem goes away -- for a while at least. If I don't click "save to keychain," it sometimes asks over and over again.

Is this something I've misconfigured in MailMate, a bug I've stumbled on, or more likely to be a problem with the server I'm on?

It could be a problem with respect to how MailMate fetches the password from the keychain. You could try clear all passwords saved for imap/smtp in “Keychain Access” to give it a clean start.

I've made some changes though and I would recommend trying the 64 bit beta of MailMate: http://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/MailMate_64bit.tbz
